Rape Cases Success

The issue of Rape is in the headlines on a daily basis at present.

One of the most salient issues involved with many cases of this kind is that of consent and over the past few weeks Rustem Guardian Solicitors have gained notable victories in rape cases at Isleworth, Snaresbrook, and Maidstone Crown Courts.

First, at Isleworth Crown Court a man was aquitted by the jury after a trial in which the issue between the parties was wether or not the complainant was a willing participant in the acts for which she later complained. Clea Topolski worked tirelessly throughout proceedings to ensure that the right outcome eventually emerged.

At Snaresbrook Crown Court on 7th March Clea Topolski had further success when the CPS informed our client that they would no longer be proceeding with the matter against him after the jury could not reach a verdict in an earlier trial.

Raj Dayal forced the hand of the CPS into offering no evidence against her client at Maidstone Crown Court on 13 May. Disclosure requests were made, and in the absence of the material requested, the CPS felt that they could not pursue the case, and the case was discharged.
