Credit Card Fraud

Credit Card fraud is a wide ranging allegation of fraud involving, at its lowest, fraud committed using lost or stolen credit cards, through to counterfeiting or skimming cards, and cash point fraud, up to allegations of identity theft and the creation of multiple cloned credit cards and accounts. In all cases a merchant is tricked into rendering goods or services, believing that they are being purchased legitimately, when in fact the ‘legitimate' card details have been hijacked.
